Chris Zachary is Professor and Chair Emeritus at the UCI department of dermatology. He
hails from Yorkshire, England. Following his medical school education at the Royal Free Hospital, University of London, he trained in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. After his dermatology residency at the Institute of Dermatology, Guys and St. Thomas' Hospitals, he trained dermatologic surgery with Neil Swanson and Roy Grekin at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a leading expert in the laser treatment of skin conditions including burns, scars and contractures. He performed the original clinical studies on fractionated ablative lasers and several other systems. Dr. Zachary has published many articles on diseases of the skin, both research and clinical. He has written or edited more than 200 articles, books, book chapters, reports, and abstracts, is a regular contributor to academic meetings both in the U.S. and abroad. He founded the online educational programs www.mdlive.net. |
