Dan Wasserman, MD
|
Dr. Dan Wasserman grew up in suburban Upstate New York and went on to graduate from Emory University, where he met his wife. He completed medical school at Jefferson Medical College followed by a surgical internship at Stanford University. He began his dermatology residency at the combined Boston University–Tufts University program. He then pursued two advanced fellowships. The first was at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School’s Laser Center, training under Drs. Rox Anderson and Mat Avram and conducting research on laser treatment options for red hair removal. His second fellowship, in Birmingham, AL, combined cosmetic dermatology with Mohs surgery under Dr. Gary Monheit, during which he completed nearly 2,500 cases, many involving complex facial reconstruction, and spent one day each week performing eyelid surgery at Callahan Eye Hospital. After completing his extensive training, Dr. Wasserman moved his family of five to Naples, FL, to be closer to extended family.
