Dr. Azimi is a physician-scientist and founder of Dermatology and Laser of Beverly Hills. He specializes in medical dermatology, laser surgery, and aesthetic medicine. He completed his dermatology residency in the Harvard Combined Dermatology Program after a research fellowship at the Cutaneous Biology Research Center, Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Azimi’s research has advanced the field’s understanding of Mas-related G protein–coupled receptors (Mrgprs) in skin inflammation and sensory biology. He was the first to identify antagonists of the MrgprX2 receptor and to characterize its role in red man syndrome. His work has been published in over 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and he is an inventor on two US patents. |
