Dr. Lisa Xu is a board-certified dermatologist and laser specialist who is the Founding Director of United Dermatology and Laser Center. She earned her medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine where she graduated at the top of her class, followed by a dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan. She completed a prestigious laser and cosmetic fellowship at Harvard Medical School under Dr. R. Rox Anderson, the inventor of many laser technologies in dermatology. She has served as faculty at Johns Hopkins University where she was co-director of the dermatology resident cosmetic clinic.
Dr. Xu is active in research and innovation and has served as Director of Clinical Research at Indiana University. She also received the first prize research award from the Michigan Dermatologic Society for her innovative studies in laser medicine. She is a frequently invited speaker at national and international conferences and has published numerous medical articles and book chapters. She also serves on the editorial board for the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Xu is experienced in all aspects of laser surgery with expertise in the treatment of Asian skin. She is an expert injector of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers using advanced techniques. Known for her gentle touch and compassionate demeanor, patients travel near and far to see her. She has been honored multiple times with the Southern California Top Doctor Award. |
