Margaret Chou, MD
|
Margaret Chou was born and raised in New York and New Jersey. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Columbia University and completed her medical education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she graduated with Distinction in Research and was recognized as Intern of the Year during her first year of postgraduate training. She spent a dedicated research year as a fellow at NYU’s Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group under Dr. Iman Osman, where she investigated the use of artificial intelligence in histopathologic analysis to improve melanoma prognostication. She then completed her dermatology residency at Hackensack Meridian Health, where she served as Chief Resident and developed an academic interest in laser medicine and cosmetic dermatology.
She is currently pursuing an ASDS Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was selected as a Pfizer Rising Derm Star at the 2023 Fall Clinical Conference and has presented original research at national meetings, including the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). Outside of medicine, she enjoys Pilates, baking, trying new cuisines and restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family. |
