Nicole Salame, MD

Nicole Salame, MD, FAAD is a board-certified and fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologist with
specialized training in Mohs micrographic surgery. She attended college at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) on numerous scholarships, graduating Cum Laude with induction into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honors Society for her excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. She then earned her MD from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) School of Medicine where she graduated Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) and received the Christopher and Mehranzig Award for achieving the highest number of honors in her class. She went on to complete her medical internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and dermatology residency at Emory University, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Salame recently completed her fellowship in cosmetic and laser dermatologic surgery at SkinCare Physicians under the exceptional mentorship of innovators in the field of cosmetic dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. In the Fall, Dr. Salame will be joining OSVI Dermatology and Surgery Institute in Manhattan Beach, California where she will be practicing cosmetic, surgical, and general dermatology. Dr. Salame is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), serves on several committees for the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), and is an active member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) and Women’s Dermatology Society (WDS). She has been a sub-investigator for numerous clinical trials and serves as a peer reviewer for Dermatologic Surgery and JAMA Dermatology. Her scholarly work has culminated in the authorship of over 30 peer- reviewed manuscripts and book chapters and more than 40 presentations at national conferences. Her interests include lasers and energy-based devices, injectables, cosmeceuticals, rejuvenation, and prejuvenation. |
