Dieter Manstein, M.D., Ph.D is co-inventor of fractional photothermolysis (Fraxel). He is also the inventor of selective cryolipolysis for body contouring (Coolsculpting) and fractional radio-frequency technologies. He is the first recipient of the Furumoto’s Scientific Innovator Award and the Ellet H. Drake Memorial Award of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). Dr. Manstein is the upcoming president (2019) of the ASLMS - Residency Training in Dermatology - University of Munster, Germany. - Ph.D. in Physics/Lasers - University of Munster, Germany. - Fellowship in Clinical Applications of Lasers - Harvard Medical School/ Wellman Center for Photomedicine. - Assistant Professor of Dermatology - Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Dermatology / Harvard Medical School.. Manstein directs his translational research laboratory at the Cutaneous Biology Research Center of Massachusetts General / Harvard Medical School.
