Morgan Murphrey, MD, FAAD is a clinical dermatologist and researcher in Boston, MA. She currently practices at Dermatology Partners, Inc., and conducts research at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine (Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School). A California native, she completed her undergraduate education at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biochemistry and minors in Psychology and French. She went on to complete her medical education at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE, and had the opportunity to complete her third and fourth-year clinical rotations at St. Joseph's Hospital / Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ. Between her third and fourth year of medical school, she solidified her passion for research and innovation while completing a pre-doctoral research fellowship under the direction of Dr. Amy Paller at Northwestern University, where she participated in both industry and investigator-initiated clinical trials. She completed her medical education with honors and simultaneously earned a Master's Degree in Health Care Ethics. After her preliminary internship at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, CA, she headed back to her hometown to complete her dermatology residency at the University of California, Davis in Sacramento. She served as Chief Resident during her final year of training. She then went on to complete an ASDS Laser & Cosmetic Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Wellman Center for Photomedicine under the mentorship of Dr. Mat Avram and Dr. Rox Anderson. She has served as a mentor and teacher to aspiring physicians and dermatologists and is active in resident education. She is passionate about finding innovative solutions to problems in dermatology.
