Dr. Patrick Lee is Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Dermatology at UC Irvine; Director, Dermatologic Surgery; and Director, Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship. He received his B.A. degree in Physiology from UC Berkeley; M.D. from the University of Southern California; Internal Medicine internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center; Dermatology training at UCLA, then fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Laser Surgery at UCLA and Harbor-UCLA. He is Board-certified in Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology; Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery; and a Fellow of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Lee was part of the UCLA Dermatology faculty starting in 1995, where he was eventually promoted to Clinical Professor. From 2001-2015, he was the Director of Dermatologic Surgery Residency Education at UCLA where he supervised the dermatologic surgery lecture curriculum for the dermatology residents. He also had a specialty clinic at UCLA, focusing on Mohs surgery, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology, and acted as Attending Physician for the UCLA dermatology residents’ surgery clinic as well. Dr. Lee has an active clinical practice in Orange County, focusing on Mohs surgery, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Lee has a special interest in postgraduate education, and, in addition to teaching at UCLA, had lectured frequently on dermatologic surgery to the UC Irvine dermatology residents, prior to joining the full-time faculty at UC Irvine in 2016. He was recognized as a Physician of Excellence by the Orange County Medical Association in 2005, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Dr. Lee was also awarded Teacher of the Year by the UCLA dermatology residents in 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2013, and by the UC Irvine dermatology residents in 2001, 2002, 2007, 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2021.
